The Highline Park and The Standard Hotel

One of the great things about living in JC is it only takes about 20 minutes or so to get to the West Village via the PATH. If you haven't been already, you need to make a point of visiting The Highline Park.  Once a rusted, abandoned, above ground freight line, it was converted into a park that cuts through the center of the Standard Hotel.  Here's how to get there: Board the last car of the 33rd St. bound PATH train. Exit at Christopher Street Station. Go to the top of the steps and exit to your right. Walk two blocks to Washington Street. Make a right on Washington and go straight. The walk there is beautiful and don't be surprised if you rub shoulders with some celebrities along the way. On the weekends the streets are humming with beautiful people. The entrance to the Highline is in the photo on the left.  I will post more photos of the park, Washington Street, and the surrounding area in the near future. In the meantime check out the websites below. Enjoy!
